Nurse by Profession, Photographer by Passion

If you've known me for quite some time, you know that I have been shooting for over fifteen years now.  Photography started off for me as a hobby - taking photos of my children and my dance team.  When people actually wanted to book me AND pay me, I knew I had discovered a gift.

Although photography was and is still a passion of mine, there were still other goals I wanted to pursue. In 2019, I went back to school and earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  After taking only one semester off, I began working on my Masters.

Being in school forced me to put photography on the back burner. Taking photos of family, a few close friends and faithful clients throughout that time, allowed me to relieve stress and have a bit of a social life. 

In December of 2023, I graduated with my Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner Studies!

Actually taking my graduation photos gave me such a sense of pride and accomplishment. I felt like all of my clients whose graduation portraits I had taken in the past. Allowing my daughters to capture these moments (one took my BSN photos and the other took my MSN photos) made it even more special!

I am relived to have all of the coursework behind me, but this is only the beginning - the beginning of a new career (hopefully soon) and perhaps the rekindling an old flame?
